The defeat to Accrington that followed a 4-1 thrashing of Bournemouth didn't cost Town much in terms of places in the league, but with teams above them dropping points we failed to take advantage.

Just what is it with our away form? Does Simpson tell them to play differently from what fans have been seeing at the Prostar?

What we need right now and echoes what Simpson has said is that we should be looking to string together an unbeaten run of ten games, rather than two or three - but how are we to do that when we can't repeat our home form when we go on the road.

Credit to Accrington in beating us 2-1, but I fear yet again we started an away match looking to keep things tight, yet really we should go at teams from the whistle because a lot of them are there for the taking.

It's hard to be critical when we are still well-placed in the league and are home form is practically faultless – lots of goals, attacking football, and solid in defence, but come on lads let's see more of the same on a consistent basis.

Aside from the inconsistent away form, Simpson has impressed me this season and I think he has the managerial skills to manage at the highest level. He is disciplined, has respect from the players, talks the talk and has ambition.

Yet one thing I have found strange is that he has been playing Hibbert in the starting line-up recently instead of Walker.

Whether Walker is still not one hundred per cent fit I don't know, but for me is the much better striker and if we want to form a formidable partnership up front, then it's got to be him and Holt.

Don't get me wrong Hibbert works hard for the team, but it terms of being able to finish and link up play, Walker is way ahead. Plus it's so predictable at the moment that Simpson will take Hibbert off after about 60-70 minutes in every match.

On a positive note, what great form our captain marvel Ben Davies is showing at the moment.

At the start of the season I questioned giving him the captaincy because I felt there were better leaders on the pitch, but through the way he is performing on the pitch he is leading the team brilliantly.

Keep up the form Ben and if he stays fit for the rest of the season who knows how many goals and assists he will rack up.

Having said that he's another player who's been quiet away from home and needs to be given more of a free role.
