The crew at Shrewsbury's town centre store swapped stock-checking and selling for jiggling and jiving as part of a fun festive video which has already been viewed thousands of times.

Created as part of a national M&S lip-sync challenge, the film features staff from the shopfloor to the stockroom to the Bureau de Change strutting their stuff to Mariah Carey and Midland rockers Wizzard and Slade.

The movie was directed and shot by William Hughes, who edited the clip alongside Cameron Brydone-Reed.

Mr Hughes, a cafe coordinator at the Castle Street shop, said staff had gone 'above and beyond' the standard of entries from rival M&S outlets.

The 21-year-old added: "We just wanted wanted a big bombastic way of saying merry Christmas to the whole town centre as well as all our loyal customers, along with the people of Shrewsbury."

With 3,000 views in the first 16 hours since William posted the video on his Facebook page, the clip looks set to go viral.

Now, all together: "I don't want a lot for Christmas...."
