Boss Mick McCarthy admits his Championship title winners are struggling to keep their edge and focus going into the last game of the season.
With promotion and the title won and Sunday's opponents Doncaster in mid-table, there is nothing riding on the game.
Their curtain call will be played out before a sell-out crowd and the Championship trophy - last lifted by Billy Wright in 1959 - will await them.
Nevertheless, McCarthy admits it's been difficult to lift his players this week.
He said: "It's funny because all of the time we've had that hard edge and professionalism to us, because we want to win. It's not the same at the moment and I miss that feeling.
"It's that will-to-win and determination and it's now just not the same. But I miss that feeling. It's a bit of anti-climax at the moment, but I still prefer anti-climax to going into Sunday's game knowing we need to win."
Wolves kicked-off their Championship winning celebrations with an awards dinner at Telford International Centre. The end-of-season awards were handed out - and the new kit for next season was also unveiled.
Chairman Steve Morgan revealed he had a private three-year plan for Wolves to get promoted - and they managed it in two.
He said: "We've got the nucleus of a good team for next season and to say anything else would be completely disrespectful to the players that have got us there.
"At the same time of course we will add to the squad and we will spend money - just ask any of the players here tonight if they want to get relegated."
The award winners were: Fans Player of the Year - Kevin Foley; Top goalscorer and players player of the year - Sylvan Ebanks-Blake; Goal of the Season - Andy Keogh's first against Derby at Pride Park; Champagne Moment - victory over Queens Park Rangers at Molineux to seal promotion; Young Professional of the Year - Sam Vokes; Academy Player of the Season - Scott Malone.
