Gospel will work alongside Polish international Ondrej Raszka the summer departure of Thomas Murdy to Cardiff.

The 22-year-old initially moved to Shropshire from Nottingham in 2013 and quickly become a key member of the Tigers squad.

Head coach Tom Watkins expects Gospel to continue the development that saw him take the starting spot for last season's play-offs.

He said: "Sam is a very talented netminder and keeps on improving every season. He is dedicated, hard working and always very committed in training."
