Kenny Jackett set to stay with Wolves
New owners Fosun International have hinted boss Kenny Jackett will stay in charge at Wolves for the foreseeable future.
Fosun representative Jeff Shi and outgoing chief executive Jez Moxey staged a press conference to welcome the Chinese conglomerate to Molineux today.
Shi claimed Fosun are pleased to be working with Jackett and share his opinion of where the team needs strengthening. Up to eight players could now be targeted.
Jackett, who was heavily tipped to be axed when the deal was complete, now appears to have Fosun's support and "an opportunity to bring success."
Julen Lopetegui has been quoted claiming he was offered the Wolves job, before reneging on the deal and becoming Spain's manager instead.
On Jackett's future, Mr Shi said: ""Before the takeover my only focus is on the deal. I had two meetings with Kenny, only talking about the squad."
"We share the same opinions. I think the squad is too small. I'm trying to give him all the support I can.
"I know Julen. I'm happy to work with Ken now and, before the takeover, I wasn't concentrating on the coach."
Jez Moxey added: "Kenny is the coach going forward."
