Nouha Dicko backed to shine for Wolves

Defender Ethan Ebanks-Landell believes fit-again striker Nouha Dicko can have an immediate impact for Wolves next season.

Dicko is set to return after missing almost all of 2015-16 with a serious knee injury.

And Ebanks-Landell – who is also on track to start pre-season after missing the end of last season with a broken metatarsal – thinks Dicko will improve the whole squad.

He said: "Dicko, in particular, would be great to get back. That is what we lacked last season – goals. And, with his pace up front, he can have an immediate impact.

"A player like Dicko even improves the rest of us in training. I enjoy playing against him in training and feel I get better from doing that as he is so sharp and one of the best strikers in the division.

"With Dicko and Joe Mason, and hopefully bringing in a player or two, we can have some threats up there next season."

After a disappointing season, it's set to be an important summer off the field at Molineux.

Goalkeeper Andy Lonergan joined from Fulham last week and more signings are expected to follow as boss Kenny Jackett looks to add quality and experience.

Ebanks-Landell insisted that despite the team's recent struggles their team spirit remained stronger than ever.
