Kortney Hause: There'll be no let up at Wolves

Defender Kortney Hause says there'll be no let up at confident Wolves as they bid to end the season on a high.

Twenty-year-old Hause was part of one of the youngest back fours in the club's history at Hull on Friday night alongside Dominic Iorfa, aged 20, Matt Doherty, 24, and Championship debutant Sylvain Deslandes, 18.

And despite a cruel late defeat at the KC Stadium, Hause said Wolves have the drive and the desire to beat any team in the league, despite now not being able to go up or down from the Championship.

"The gaffer hasn't stepped off us," Hause said. "We've trained hard every day – we approach every game as if it's our last.

"We want to win every game and we're confident we can do that.

"It's good to stay professional and carry on working hard – it could lead on into next season.

"We believe we can beat anyone in this league and we've got the drive and the desire to do so."

Wolves recovered from a calamitous early opening goal in which Iorfa and Carl Ikeme were at fault.

And Hause feels the young defence showed good character in restricting high-flying Hull to barely any chances of note before Snodgrass' last-gasp free kick.

"I think we did well, especially defensively considering we have a very young back four," he added.

"I thought we dealt with the pressure. It's a young team, we stayed solid for the majority of the game.

"The first goal was poor, but the second there was nothing we could do about it, it was sheer quality and shows why Hull are up there and have got the players to keep them there, it was unstoppable.

"We didn't crack. Being young, people are going to think a mistake is going to effect our performance and knock our confidence, but me and Dom both grew into the game."

And of French left-back Deslandes, who made his third appearance for the club, Hause added: "It was a very big night for him but I think he dealt with it well.

"It's just a case of continuing to play now. We all know he's good enough, we all know he's got the attributes to be a good Championship left back.

"He's settled in very well – he's a very likeable guy and everyone likes him. He just wants to work hard, get his head down and do well for himself and the club, he's a good, hard-working player."
