Jackett primes Wolves for five of the best
Boss Kenny Jackett today urged Wolves to use their vital next five games as a springboard to propel them into the play-offs.
Jackett's men face five games in 15 days starting with back-to-back Championship home games against Rotherham and Fulham on Saturday and Tuesday.
And the Molineux head coach believes the hectic spell can be the launchpad for a final push for the top six.
His side have 15 games remaining and are currently five points outside the play-off spots.
Jackett said: "We want to get as many points from this little run that we've got because, if you're looking at the next five games, there's 15 points to play for within 15 days.
"That's a great little period at a time when you can pick up a lot of points.
"We need to average two points a game with the games that we've got coming up to get ourselves into the top six, who at the moment look strong.
"But we're well positioned and we have to find our top form. Last Tuesday night from Huddersfield, we have to find that type of finishing. But we're capable of that.
"It's a key period and there's a lot of games in a short period of time as happens in the Championship and that's the same as everybody else.
"You need not just one good performance. We had one very good one at Huddersfield where the quality of our play was very incisive and that was our best win of the season.
"We need to pick up points consistently in that period."
Three of the next five games are at home, with Jackett hoping the Molineux crowd can help inspire his side after their 2-0 defeat at Norwich last weekend.
He added: "We need to be more constructive and if the crowd can see that they will get behind you."
