Bakary Sako backing new Wolves boys to shine

Revitalised Bakary Sako today insisted he never moaned about being axed as he tipped Wolves' new-look strikeforce to fire them to promotion.

The French winger has been like a new player after being dropped for the 2-0 win against Preston, scoring after coming off the bench in the 3-1 victory against Bristol City then setting up both goals in Saturday's 2-0 success over Bradford.

"It's always difficult when you're not playing," said the 25-year-old. "I missed a couple of games but it's all about being ready when the gaffer wants you to play and respond on the pitch.

"I'm not the type of person to moan all day about it – I just wanted to respond in the right way and do my best and help my team-mates. Now I'm back in the team I want to stay in."

Sako has been re-united with fellow Frenchman Nouha Dicko, who has netted twice in three games in an impressive return playing up front after his unhappy loan spell last season.

And he backed Dicko and fellow new-boy Leon Clarke to fire Wolves to promotion.

"The gaffer has changed the strikers around " he said. "There are plenty of goals in those strikers that will help us get promoted."
