Get set to scrap, Kevin McDonald tells Wolves
Kevin McDonald today urged Wolves to embrace the pressure and be prepared to fight their way out of League One.
The midfielder warned his new team-mates their rivals are gunning for them, with Kenny Jackett's men a scalp.
He made his debut in Friday's dramatic 2-1 win over Crawley, where his cross was handled by Kyle McFadzean for Leigh Griffiths to score an injury-time penalty winner.
McDonald sealed a £250,000 switch from Sheffield United this month and after failing to help the Blades out of League One, he insisted Wolves must be prepared.
He said: "Teams will come to massive stadiums like Molineux and they are going to throw everything at you.
"It's part of the pressure and it's a great pressure to have. I would rather be playing here than one of the teams coming to play us. That is the way we need to see it, take the pressure and perform to it.
"It was like Sheffield United last season. Both have an equally great chance of promotion and Wolves, with their parachute payments, can throw a bit of money at it.
"Anything can happen and we know what we need to do. It's going to be a long tough season and hopefully we can grind out results."
