Dave Edwards calls for unity at Wolves
Wolves today made an impassioned plea for fans to stick with the team to help end their Molineux misery.
Supporters have grown increasingly restless after five matches without a win as Stale Solbakken's side kick off a run of three home games in four with the visit of Brighton tomorrow.
Two points from 15 have dropped Wolves from third to 13th in the Championship and fans have become increasingly frustrated with the team's inability to create chances and score goals as players juggle with the more patient style of play.
Wolves have faded alarmingly in their last two home games to draw against Bolton and Charlton – just two of the five matches in which they have conceded leads to make it 12 points wasted from winning positions this season.
But the players believe in Solbakken's gameplan, and, with the Molineux gate expected to be boosted by a 'Wolves 4 Family' £40 ticket promotion tomorrow, they reckon the supporters' backing could tip the scales in their favour.
Midfielder Dave Edwards said: "It's key for us that the fans get behind us tomorrow – as they always do – because that will make the difference and we can keep the tempo going. It's vital we get a win."
