Jermaine Pennant today flashed a bullish message to fans when he tipped Wolves to win automatic promotion this season.

The Molineux masses were left frustrated at Bolton's last-gasp equaliser on Tuesday and Wolves return to face their home support tomorrow for the visit of Charlton knowing fans will be anxious for a return to winning ways after one point from six.

The 2-2 draw against the Trotters was the latest home giveaway to make it seven points lost at Molineux from winning positions this season.

But on-loan Stoke winger Pennant believes Stale Solbakken's side can improve on their sixth-placed position as the season and even repeat their 2008-09 Championship title-winning success.

"Promotion is definitely within our grasp and I wouldn't rule out winning the league or finishing second either," the 29-year-old said.

"The players here are very decent in terms of quality.

"I think Wolves are up there with the biggest in this league and their position will reflect that."

Pennant tweeted: "Roll on Saturday another home game and points is a must."
