Stephen Hunt today hinted for the first time at dressing room unrest at Wolves.

The Ireland international admitted life at Wolves "can be difficult" and likened the situation at Molineux to people at work not getting on with their colleagues.

Roger Johnson and keeper Wayne Hennessey had an angry head-to-head exchange during last Saturday's 3-2 defeat to Bolton, while the appointment of Johnson as captain upset the dressing room.

But it has taken a revealing interview given by Hunt in his native Ireland recently to expose the unrest in the camp.

"Sometimes at Wolves it's day-in, day-out and it can be difficult," said Hunt, who will be out for two to three weeks after a hernia operation on Thursday.

"People go to work not getting on with their work-mates – you have your arguments and that's the way it is. With Ireland, because we don't see each other as much as in club football, it can be a lot easier to get on for a week to 10 days."

Hunt also revealed training is less taxing under Terry Connor than under former boss Mick McCarthy.

"We may have trained too hard, that's my personal view," he added.
