Wolves boss Terry Connor today declared he is ready for two major selection dilemmas ahead of Sunday's clash at Fulham.
Ten-goal top scorer Steven Fletcher and centre-back Sebastien Bassong are fit again after respective virus and hamstring scares to boost Wolves' squad for the trip to the capital.
Last week Wolves came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at Newcastle and rejuvenated Kevin Doyle was a big part of the recovery, leading the line on his own and scoring the equaliser.
Now Connor has to address the dilemma that was often wrestled with by his predecessor Mick McCarthy – whether he can fit Fletcher and Doyle into the team without weakening other areas of the side.
"Fletcher wasn't fully fit to play last week, so I'll cross that bridge when we come to it," said Connor.
"If it's a difficult decision, I'll make it. Some decisions are difficult but it will be given all the due attention and I'll seek whatever advice I need to seek, watch training, watch what happens, and ultimately I'll make a decision I feel I'm comfortable with.
"It's nice to have competition for places, it really is."
Connor admits it's been a problem fitting the former and current record signings into the team together.
"It's maybe that the make-up around the squad doesn't really allow that to happen, and, where we operate in the league perhaps doesn't allow that to happen most weeks," he said. "Other teams use certain tactics and ways of playing and we have to adapt to that.
"I suppose if you're at the top of the league, you just worry about yourself.
"Top teams can just say: 'We play this way come what may', or make tactical arrangements for the good of their team, whereas we have to go one against one, if you like."
Connor also has to consider whether to bring back Bassong and Roger Johnson after Richard Stearman and Christophe Berra performed well on Tyneside.
