The Saints, under the new management team of Scott Ruscoe and Steve Evans following Craig Harrison's departure to Hartlepool, will be chasing a seventh successive league title and 12th in all this term.

First up will be their trip to the north Wales coast on Friday, August 11, for what promises to be a tough start to the campaign against a Bangor side who ran out 3-0 winners when the sides last met at the end of last season.

TNS, who are again in action in the UEFA Champions League this summer, make their first appearance at Park Hall the following Saturday (August 19) when they entertain Bala Town.

Then on Friday, August 25, the Saints make the trip to league newcomers Barry Town United.

The Oswestry men visit local rivals Newtown on Boxing Day, while the two sides again meet on New Year's Day, this time at Park Hall.

Newtown, who enjoyed a terrific run of form in the second half of last season, also start with a Friday night fixture when they head to Bala Town on August 11.

Their first appearance at Latham Park is the following Friday (August 18) when they welcome Cefn Druids

Meanwhile, newly-promoted Barry Town United and Prestatyn Town have both been handed home fixtures on the opening weekend of the new Welsh Premier League season.

The Dragons will host Aberystwyth Town, who narrowly avoided the drop last term, live on S4C while the Seasiders have a home fixture with Connah's Quay Nomads.

In a new development, a number of games will be shown on Facebook Live on Thursday nights during the season.

The first two confirmed matches will feature Llandudno v Prestatyn on September 7 and Barry Town United v Carmarthen Town on September 21.

Opening fixtures:

Friday August, 11: Bala Town v Newtown, Bangor City v The New Saints. Prestatyn Town v Connah's Quay Nomads

Saturday August 12: Cefn Druids v Cardiff Met, Llandudno v Carmarthen Town

Sunday August 13: Barry Town United v Aberystwyth Town
