Matt Taylor believes Shrewsbury were hard done by in Bristol Rovers defeat
Matt Taylor was left feeling hard done-by and believes his Shrewsbury Town should’ve come away with more after a 2-0 defeat to Bristol Rovers.
Shrewsbury conceded two second-half goals to Joey Barton’s side with John Marquis and Aaron Collins finding the net for the away side.
Bristol skipper Marquis was the player in question when Shrewsbury saw a penalty appeal for a foul on Chey Dunkley turned down, a decision which Town boss Taylor believes may have cost his side.
He said: “A minute after Chey Dunkley gets grabbed round the neck and thrown to the floor, in what my opinion should be a penalty, the perpetrator puts the ball in the back of the net.
