'Get well soon gaffer' Shrewsbury Town players warm up against Fleetwood with t-shirts in support of absent boss Steve Cotterill
Shrewsbury Town players and staff emerged to warm up for today's home League One fixture against Fleetwood Town wearing t-shirts of support to absent boss Steve Cotterill.
Cotterill remains away from the club and in Bristol Royal Infirmary Hospital, recovery from Covid pneumonia as a long-term affect of the serious bout of the virus he suffered in January.
The visit of Fleetwood, which pits 17th against 16th in League One, is the 11th fixture Cotterill has missed since his period of ill health.
The black t-shirt reads 'Get well soon gaffer, from your #blueamberarmy', the same message that adorns the banner fundraised by supporters behind the home dugout at Montgomery Waters Meadow.
