Mat Sadler: Shrewsbury Town have psychological edge
Mat Sadler believes climbing out of the League One relegation zone can give Shrewsbury Town a psychological edge on their rivals.
The defender headed an important equaliser at Swindon last Saturday, earning the point which lifted Paul Hurst's side out of the bottom four.
Shrews have trained this week ahead of a return to Greenhous Meadow, where they will host high-fliers Bradford City and rock-bottom Oldham over the next two Saturdays. And Sadler is sure that Salop will be able to capitalise on their slight advantage.
"Psychologically, with a free week, we can train with two home games coming up that we can look on positively," said the 31-year-old, who has featured in all but one of Town's games under Hurst.
"We're not getting carried away with getting out of the bottom four but it's an advantage and we're looking to capitalise. Knowing we have come out of the drop zone, it's the first thing on the way to safety."
