Shrewsbury Town expecting 'very active' January transfer window says Roland Wycherley
Shrewsbury Town supporters can look forward to a 'very active' January transfer window, according to chairman Roland Wycherley.
Salop boss Paul Hurst has already stated his desire to add attacking intent to his ranks and the Town supremo is ready to back up the manager's wishes.
The chairman was addressing fans on the club's website as he reviewed 2016 and his two decades at the helm, while also wishing festive greetings to fans.
The chairman revealed that the club had agreed to add quality to the Town squad in January if Hurst had manoeuvred the team within touching distance of escaping the League One drop zone.
Wycherley told Shrewsburytown.com: "I'm sure he will be very active in the next few weeks. When we sat down in October, we felt that come Christmas with the right person and not too far adrift and new players coming in, then we think it's a really achievable goal to stay where we always want to be at minimum, which is in League One."
