Tony Mowbray rules himself out of Shrewsbury Town job
Former West Brom, Celtic and Coventry City boss Tony Mowbray has confirmed that he isn't interested in taking the Shrewsbury Town job.
Salop have been searching for a new manager since Micky Mellon left the club by mutual consent, but Mowbray has officially confirmed that he won't be the man to take over following the Scot's exit.
He was originally considered as one of the front runners for the role after his time at Coventry City came to an end in September. However, it's understood that he wants a break from management before taking his next job.
Mowbray joins Steve Cotterill, Paul Hurst and current caretaker manager Danny Coyne in pulling out of the running.
Salop chief executive Brian Caldwell has assured fans that an appointment will be made, but the club will bide their time before confirming the new boss.
Shrewsbury face Walsall next, with Coyne likely to take charge for his second game as caretaker manager.
