Shrews make the short trip to Wolves for a behind-closed-doors clash at the Championship club's training ground tomorrow.

They follow up with two more friendlies against Championship opposition, taking on Cardiff City at the Greenhous Meadow on July 16 before hosting Birmingham City three days later.

Leutwiler said of the Wolves game: "It's a good opponent, so it's brilliant for us and it's going to show us where we are at the moment."

The Town squad, featuring eight new signings, reported back for training two weeks ago to begin preparations for the new League One campaign.

They kick off at home to Milton Keynes Dons on August 6, with Leutwiler eyeing a good start.

The Swiss shot-stopper said: "The start of the season is going to be very important and is going to tell us where we can be, I think.

"Maybe the first 10 games is going to be very important for the club to know where we can put our target.

"But I'm sure the club want to play at the highest they can and that has to be the target for everyone.

"We want to play the highest we can and we're going to make everything for that."
