Some of Shrewsbury's most famous feet have been treated to a revolutionary new treatment at a beauty salon in the town.
Players from Shrewsbury Town Football Club visited Tootsies Fish Spa in Wyle Cop to take the weight off their feet with a Hollywood-style fish pedicure.
The new salon is one of only a handful of venues in Shropshire which provide the unique treatment involving 150 Garra Rufa fish nibbling between the toes to get rid of dry skin and increase blood circulation.
Club physio Chris Skitt arranged the visit which saw Nicky Wroe, Lionel Ainsworth and goalkeeper Ben Smith taking the plunge.
Stephanie Coutts, owner of Tootsies, said she was delighted to welcome the footballers for the treatment, which she believes is beneficial to many people, including sportsmen. She said: "Everyone who comes in really loves the treatment. The physio at the club has been here before and he suggested that they came along.
"The treatment works by taking away the dry skin and the fish also stimulate the acupuncture points increasing the blood circulation. It's a really relaxing treatment.
"Ben the goalkeeper put his hands in the tanks and Lionel, who has also been in before, said he would be buying a voucher to use in this year's 'Secret Santa'. Hopefully they will become regular customers.
"We have just started a loyalty scheme where people can get free treatments and we will also be introducing beauty treatments including manicures and pedicures later this month."
