Gavin Cowan wants a killer instinct from his AFC Telford charges

AFC Telford boss Gavin Cowan is demanding his players show their ruthless side as they welcome Kidderminster Harriers tonight.

The Bucks have a chance to recover from the late setback in Saturday’s disappointing late defeat at newly-promoted Kettering.

Cowan was

keen to stress his players are ready to move on and insisted Telford must do better in both penalty areas.

“My favourite thing about the first month of the season is the games coming thick and fast,” said Cowan.

“I thought the lads played well on Saturday and we move on to tonight. We’d rather play Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday-Tuesday and if we play the same way we did it gives us a chance.

Kettering had three shots and scored two goals. They were more efficient.

“The lads did everything we asked but they need to be more ruthless and that’s not something I want to be saying much this season.”
