Harry Burgoyne staying with AFC Telford

Harry Burgoyne will be in goal for tonight's National League North derby with Hednesford after his loan with AFC Telford was extended for another month.

The 18-year-old shot-stopper has been in impressive form since coming in from Wolves and will be between the sticks for the relegation battle against the Pitmen at the New Bucks Head.

Centre-back Curtis Tilt will also be available, because his two-game suspension for picking up 10 yellow cards has not yet kicked in.

Assistant manager said Larry Chambers thinks it's great to have Ludlow-born Burgoyne for another month.

But he said the previous No 1, James Montgomery, who has been sidelined with a hand injury, was still an important member of the side.

He said: "We've just extended the loan deal but we haven't decide whether James will be on the bench yet.

"He is still in our plans and, just because we have taken on Harry, it doesn't mean 'Monty' will not figure for us going forward.

"It's always good to have keepers but the signing is no major deal. Jack Rea's injury was a hamstring, so he'll be out of the game."

Burgoyne, who signed a two-year contract with Wolves in the summer, is currently experiencing his second stint in the National League North this season.

He was enjoying first-team action with Lowestoft Town, before Wolves recalled him when Jon Flatt suffered a hamstring injury.

He was then called up to Wolves' pre-season tour of France when Carl Ikeme picked up an injury.

Tonight will be the third time the two league strugglers have tried to play the game, which has twice been postponed due to bad weather.

During that time, Telford have won two and drawn one, dragging themselves back into contention to avoid the drop.

The Bucks are level on points with the Pitmen, but Frank Sinclair's outfit have two games in hand.
