Alex Fletcher is the latest departure at Telford
AFC Telford United have allowed midfielder Alex Fletcher to become the latest departure from the New Bucks Head.
The Shrewsbury Town academy graduate has joined Evo-Stik Division One South strugglers Tividale on a permanent basis.
Fletcher becomes the second departure of the week after Amadou Bakayoko returned to Walsall after his month's loan.
And it brings the number of exits under boss Rob Smith to eight after Ben Harrison, Mason Springthorpe, Jack Roberts, James McQuilkin, Danny O'Callaghan and Zac Lilley, although only Harrison has left on a permanent basis.
"We need to get players out which is what the focus is on now," said Smith.
Fletcher only joined the Bucks in the summer and played three times, figuring in the matchday 16 for seven of the first eight matches.
The teenager made his debut as a substitute for Danny Glover in the opening home game of the season in the 0-0 draw against Curzon Ashton.
Making his full bow in the 2-0 home defeat to Gainsborough Trinity, he then replaced Jordan Goddard in the 2-0 win against Brackley.
But he failed to make the last two squads before today and Smith has allowed him to leave.
The youngster arrived from the Greenhous Meadow in the summer with two Town youth team-mates, Niall Flint, who was also taken on, and Ryan Hickman, who was released.
Meanwhile, Josh Brizzell has been told he must do more to force his way into the side.
Brizzell, a big summer capture by Steve Kittrick, was left out of the squad against North Ferriby last weekend.
"I picked a team that I felt was needed to get a result and that left Josh out of the squad," said Smith.
"I had cover at right back with Mark Lees and then more of an attacking bench.
"People have to take their chance when they get it.
"I had a chat with him when I came in and he wants to do well for the club and he wants to be around.
"But he is chasing a starting place and pushing to try to get into the team."
As for Bakayoko, who failed to score in six appearances, Smith said: "I've got Ryan Rowe in as well as Connor McCarthy and then we'll see what comes up."
