Steve Kittrick lock-in for AFC Telford team
Under-fire AFC Telford United boss Steve Kittrick locked his players in the dressing room following their 2-0 defeat to Gainsborough Trinity.
Boos rang out from the Bucks Head stadium after the referee blew the final whistle, as the home fans echoed their frustration.
The loss means rock-bottom Telford continued their poor start to the season where they are yet to win a game in five matches.
And, after the game, Kittrick admitted: "It just was not good enough, I thought we were poor in the second-half. Mistakes were made again and we've talked about it.
"It's tough when you want to win, when you want to turn a corner and get that first win, because I think that's all it's going to take is to get that first win.
"Maybe it will be next Saturday or the week after but we'll just have a go, we're not going to get too despondent on it. We've got one point on the board after five games."
The Bucks loss to Trinity was a far cry from the last time they hosted the Lincolnshire outfit last year - where they clinched promotion back to the top-flight on their first attempt with a 3-0 win.
But Kittrick believes Telford can soon get back to winning ways and has asked for patience with his young side.
He said: "We've got to work hard to get that win and we'll endeavour to do it if we can get it. But people have got to be patient with us, because we have got a young side.
"Not one of my players goes out there to lose. It's just hard for them at the moment.
"We've got a young group of players, we haven't been together too long and we need to get it right and we will get it right, if we're given the time to get it right.
"I don't want people to get nervous, because we will get it right. These days will be all forgotten about when we turn the corner - and we will turn the corner."
Telford's next game sees them travel to 16th-placed Gloucester City next Saturday.
