AFC Telford snap up Danny O'Callaghan

AFC Telford United have completed their second signing in 24 hours after snapping up Sutton Coldfield Town midfielder Danny O'Callaghan.

The 25-year-old has a reputation as a goalscoring midfielder, having netted scored 12 times last season as Sutton gained promotion.

Telford said in a statement: "He is desperate to make the step up and prove himself at this level.

"He needs very little introduction to the club, as one of his best friends is former Bucks ace Lee Vaughan."

O'Callaghan's capture follows hot on the heels of former Hyde attacking full-back Josh Brizzell, who put pen to paper last night.

Brizzell, who started out with Rochdale, was Hyde's Player of the Season in 2014 and their Young player of the Year the previous campaign.

Manager Steve Kittrick revealed earlier this week that he was due to see four or five prospective signings last night with a view to tying up deals.
