Paperwork for defender Glenn Matthews' loan extension was not received by the Football Conference in time for his loan to be renewed.

This information had been missed by club staff meaning that manager Steve Kittrick was unaware that the Bolton Wanderers' stopper was ineligible to play in the home game against Lincoln City on April 11.

Telford bosses issued a club statement saying:: "The Club apologises to the fans, management and team."

The Bucks, who were relegated from the Conference Premier last month, will drop a place in the table from 22nd to 23rd as a result of the deduction.
