AFC Telford sign one with game back on
AFC Telford United have agreed the signing of former Derry City midfielder Danny Ventre - as tomorrow night's home match with Halifax is reinstated.
Ventre, who also played for Sligo Rovers and Accrington, played in a behind closed doors game on Saturday and impressed enough to earn a short term deal.
The Bucks has signed him on a deal until the end of the season.
He joins Bolton Wanderers full-back Glenn Matthews, who has also joined the Bucks on a one-month loan from the Championship side.
Telford are also looking to sign a forward player with two options currently being pursued.
The news comes as Telford confirm that their home clash with Halifax has been reinstated. The Bucks had been due to meet the Shaymen at the New Bucks Head tomorrow night.
Conference Premier bosses then confirmed that the game had been postponed on Saturday evening after Halifax's FA Trophy clash at Dartford ended in a draw, meaning a replay was needed on Tuesday night instead.
But Halifax's pitch is now waterlogged meaning Telford's game against Halifax will go ahead as originally agreed.
