AFC Telford's Fylde FA Trophy trip is off

AFC Telford United's trip to Fylde in the second round of the FA Trophy today has been called off due to a waterlogged pitch.

A boggy Kellamergh Park pitch is not fit for play this afternoon, so the tie has been rescheduled to be played on Tuesday night, kicking off at 7.45pm.

The Bucks had left the date open in the event of a replay, in any case, so will be primed for midweek action when the match is rescheduled.

Telford had to play twice against Conference Premier rivals Chester to get past the first round, eventually seeing off the Blues on penalties away from home.

And a tough test awaits them away to the Coasters, with just a place separating the two as the hosts sit top of the Conference North.

Telford had been expected to take a significant away following the game and the Bucks have tweeted that anyone wishing to use their away travel ticket on Tuesday should call 07966935534.

Coaches will be departing the New Bucks Head at 4pm that afternoon.
