Hodgson will run the rule over future Three Lions stars at the New Bucks Head, Romania the friendly opposition for Aidy Boothroyd's first game in charge.

The England boss is preparing his side to go to Switzerland, where they play on Monday night, for a European Championship qualifier.

Both the full internationals and the youth group have been training at St George's Park, the Football Association's national centre near Burton-on-Trent.

Under-20 midfielders Paul Digby and Harrison Reed will be on show in Shropshire tonight, having been invited to train alongside the senior England group this week.

Some 3,000 tickets have already been sold for tonight's game, with admission just £3 for adults and £1.50 concessions. Telford season ticket holders get in for free.

Supporters can pay on the gate, but are urged to arrive at the ground as early as possible tonight. Kick off is at 7.30pm.
