AFC Telford 2 Stockport 0 - match report
AFC Telford United climbed to second in the Skrill Conference North after a deserved 2-0 home win over fallen Football League club Stockport County.
Only the second goal of the season from Andy Owens set the Bucks on their way, before a second from substitute Sean Clancy wrapped up three points.
It was nothing less than Liam Watson's side warranted after bossing proceedings, bar a short spell from the Hatters early in the second-half.
The hosts should have had a penalty, too, in-between the goals when Shaun Whalley was clearly kicked on his heels by Chris Churchman in the box.
Telford already led at that stage, through a rare strike from Owens on 24 minutes, slotting home clinically at the near post from Mike Phenix's inviting low cross from the right wing.
The victory was secured in the 73rd minute when Clancy lofted the ball over goalkeeper Christian Dibble from point blank range, after Farrell's cross found him unmarked in the box.
It also marked Telford's first clean sheet at the 10th time of asking, preserved by Ryan Young's parry from Mark Lees at close quarters on 53 minutes.
