Simon Grand back in frame for AFC Telford
AFC Telford United captain Simon Grand could be back in the squad for tonight's Skrill Conference North trip to Worcester City after a calf injury.
The skipper has missed the last five games after pulling the muscle in training, but completed the pre-match warm up at Harrogate Town on Saturday.
Grand is unlikely to start tonight after little time on the training field as the club ploughs through a hectic schedule – tonight's fixture is their sixth in 17 days.
Manager Liam Watson is likely to make other changes to the starting line-up to "freshen up" his side, with players likely to be rested after the weekend's 2-2 draw.
He said: "We just need to look at ourselves and see where we are body wise, but Simon Grand should be back for us. He should be there or thereabouts to come back into the squad.
"The players need helping out by us, so it won't be the same team starting at Worcester that did on Saturday at Harrogate.
"We are one of the few teams that didn't lose a fixture over the festive period, so we are looking to see how we can freshen up a bit going into the game."
Telford will be looking to beat Worcester at the fourth time of asking this season, after draws in the league and FA Trophy and a 3-0 home defeat in the replay.
Watson is wary of the threat the Dragons pose as the Bucks' bogey team so far in this campaign despite a tough run in the league, where they have slipped back into the relegation places.
He said: "We have got a tough game at Worcester, we have played them three times this season and not beaten them. We have had our problems with them and we would like to put that right.
"We are in good form but we were when we went there in the FA Trophy at the end of November, but it never happened for us.
"We will go there confident and try to pull the two points we dropped on Saturday back."
