Martyn Jackson ready to kick on with AFC Telford
Midfielder Martyn Jackson believes he has returned to AFC Telford a better player following his recent month-long loan spell at Skelmersdale United.
The former Manchester United and Burnley youth team player has so far made just one competitive appearance for the Bucks since joining in the summer.
And he was sent to Tommy Lawson's lower league outfit, who are currently top of the Evo-Stik Premier Division, at the end of October to get some valuable experience and game time under his belt.
Having returned to Shropshire last week, he found himself on the bench for Telford's 2-1 defeat to Leamington on Saturday.
But he is hoping to make himself a more permanent fixture on manager Liam Watson's team sheet in the coming weeks.
"I'm sure there will be opportunities," he said. "It was good at Skelmersdale and I think it's brought me on a little bit. I am gaining in confidence and ability every time I go and play for a loan team.
"They have got some good players at Skelmersdale and they are a good footballing team. I think I fitted in quite well."
Jackson, who made his competitive Telford debut as a substitute against Solihull Moors in August, had previously spent time on loan at Evo-Stik Premier Division strugglers Stafford Rangers earlier this season.
