Dan Preston wanted by AFC Telford's weekend opponents
AFC Telford United defender Dan Preston could be the subject of a second loan move from Barrow after the sides meet in the league on Saturday.
The Bucks centre-back, 22, has just completed a month's loan at Holker Street, where Liam Watson's side are heading in the Skrill Conference North.
Preston could be on the bench for Telford at the weekend, but is carrying a slight back injury which he picked up while playing for the Bluebirds.
Barrow caretaker manager Alex Meechan played with Preston for Telford last season and hasn't ruled out approaching his ex-club.
He said: "Let's get the weekend out of the way and see what develops next week. It wasn't me who did the deal with Telford, it was the previous manager.
"Dan was left out of our last game, as he had a slight back injury, but he had a good month with us."
Meechan is in with a shout of getting the job on a permanent basis, particularly after Tuesday night's 3-2 FA Trophy success at Stockport County.
Victory against his old employers, where he spent two spells as a player, would strengthen his case and the 33-year-old insisted that will be his only focus.
He said: "It's ironic this game has come about, but I am here to do a job on Saturday. There's no split loyalties for me."
