Liam Watson wants more from AFC Telford's strikers
AFC Telford boss Liam Watson has challenged his side to be more clinical in front of goal after their 6-0 demolition of Scarborough Athletic on Saturday.
The hosts scored four goals in the second half but were arguably fortunate to take a 2-0 lead into the break against Rudy Funk's spirited side.
Man-of-the-match Mike Grogan netted twice in the FA Trophy victory but before that the midfielder had blazed over the bar from six yards and had hit the post with a header.
In the second half the Bucks struck the goal frame twice, but Watson said he wants his side to take more of their chances.
He said: "We need to start to be a little bit more clinical, we've missed a number chances in the last few games. I've said time and time again that someone is going to get a hiding. Unfortunately for Scarborough it was them.
"Above all, and I said this at the start of the season, our aim is to get back in the Conference Premier that's what we'll be aiming for. If we have a run in the FA Trophy then that's great but we'll just continue to keep winning football matches.
"We know we can't take it easy against anyone. We've got Barrow next and that's not an easy place to go. If we work as hard as we have been doing then I'm sure we'll cause them problems."
