AFC Telford duo facing spell on the sidelines
AFC Telford United duo Andy Owens and Chris Lever are likely to be missing from the starting line-up for tomorrow's home game against Stalybridge Celtic.
Owens is definitely out with a hamstring injury, pulling up shortly after scoring his first competitive goal for the club in Tuesday night's 1-1 draw at Brackley.
Lever stayed at home with an ear infection and is still being treated today. Having missed the game and training last night, the best he can hope for is the bench.
Matthew McGinn should continue in his place at left-back while Adam Farrell, who replaced Owens in midweek, is likely to partner Tony Gray in attack.
Manager Liam Watson said: "Chris is still struggling but he's still on antibiotics so, hopefully, they will kick in quickly. He will be in the squad if he's fit.
"Andy has done his hamstring, so he's going to be out for two to three weeks, at least. It gives Adam a chance – he needs a run."
Watson watched Stalybridge beat Leamington two weeks ago and had the Celts' star man, Sean McConville, with him at Burscough.
Former Bucks loanee Conal Platt is another name in the ranks of the visitors, who have won all three games under new manager Keith Briggs.
