Telford's Sean Clancy is gunning for the top

AFC Telford winger Sean Clancy today claimed the Skrill Conference North title is still the aim for the club.

Clancy has his eyes on promotion to the Premier, having sampled glory through the play-offs with Fleetwood Town in 2010.

He played at that level for them the following season and later for Kidderminster Harriers and Southport last season.

But the 26-year-old is expecting a push towards top spot as the months wear on, with Liam Watson's Bucks having completed a quarter of the season on the edge of the play-off places.

Clancy believes champion status will be befitting to a club of Telford's status.

He said: "We have had some big expectations from the start and, looking at it, we have had that time to gel now and we are not far off the top of the league.

"We have all got our eyes on promotion. There's one spot for automatic and that's why this league is so difficult. But it's still our target for this season.

"That's the feeling among the lads."
