AFC Telford's Liam Watson hoping to continue unbeaten run
AFC Telford United manager Liam Watson is hoping his unbeaten streak against Stockport County holds out when he takes his side to Edgeley Park tomorrow.
Watson has yet to sample defeat in seven fixtures against the Hatters, stretching back to October 2011 and his time in charge at Southport.
Dumping County out of the FA Cup in 2011 and the FA Trophy last season came during his five victories, with a trophy and league draw also recorded.
Now the Bucks boss leads his new club into a match at Edgeley Park in non-league's second tier, with the visitors eight points and two games better off.
And Watson wants to experience the same sort of away day joy as in November 2011, where they overcame Shaun Whalley's red card to win through Karl Ledsham's strike.
He said: "I am looking forward to it. I went there twice last season, we drew in the trophy and won in the league, so it's been a happy hunting ground for me. I didn't lose to them."
Telford enter November after a stop-start October, where they completed just two league fixtures, facing four games in 10 days.
Stockport is the first of two away trips before Tuesday's trip to Brackley Town and the visits of Stalybridge Celtic and Vauxhall Motors.
Watson said: "You look at the next four games and if someone offered me eight points, I would snap their hand off."
