No rest for AFC Telford as extra training begins

AFC Telford United won't be letting their players have tomorrow off during their enforced break and are being pulled in for an extra training session.

The Bucks are not in action until next weekend's Skrill Conference North trip to Stockport County, but will be kept ticking over with additional work.

Assistant boss Dominic Morley revealed on and off the ball exercises will be spread over three sessions this week, including tomorrow morning.

That's despite the illness bug that has affected personnel recently having not completely left the camp, with captain Simon Grand unwell for a second time.

He missed training last night but there will be no respite for the players who are fit and well, with Morley insisting the hard yards will do them the power of good.

He said: "The players are in tomorrow morning for a session, they have no choice.

"We have got to train and they have got to keep fit.

"It will be early, we start around 11am, so they will be back home early afternoon and have the rest of the weekend off from there."
