Jimmy Mullen keen to land AFC Telford job
Former Market Drayton boss Jimmy Mullen has thrown his hat into the ring for the AFC Telford vacancy.
Mullen stepped down from duties at Greenfields this week to free up time to search for a full-time vacancy. And while he believes the Bucks may already be closing in on a new appointment, he would like to declare his interest with chairman Lee Carter.

"Obviously it's a position that I would be very interested in," said former Walsall manager Mullen.
"I resigned my position at Market Drayton because of my ambition to get back into a full-time job.
"I thought Telford might have had someone in mind anyway, but I'd certainly be interested in seeing what they are doing about it.
"If they were interested in me, I would be interested in them."
Mullen, 60, last managed at a senior level at the Saddlers more than four years ago, but was dismissed after a poor run of four wins in 16 matches.
He agreed to help Drayton out on a temporary basis 18 months ago. And the club's recent improvement means he has twice steered them clear to safety in the Evo-stik Division One South, before parting company to leave club stalwart Martyn Davies holding the reins on a caretaker basis for the remainder of the campaign.
Meanwhile, Telford's board have been interviewing candidates this week with the likes of ex-Hyde boss Gary Lowe and Graham Heathcote understood to be names considered.
But unike some of the potential candidates, Mullen has a wider managerial pedigree including time served in the Football League with Blackpool and Burnley as well as non-league service with Colwyn Bay and a brief stint at the former Telford United during 2003-04.
He has also helped out goalkeeper legend Neville Southall coaching the Welsh under-19s side.
