Aaron Williams stays on at AFC Telford for the season

AFC Telford will be able to count on teenage strike prospect Aaron Williams for the rest of the Blue Square Bet Premier season.

Tomorrow's home clash with Nuneaton Town and Easter Monday's trip to Forest Green won't be the 19-year-old's last games for the Bucks as parent club Walsall are happy to let the forward's initial loan deal run on after April 6.

Despite missing a potentially decisive one-v-one against Lincoln last weekend, Williams has impressed caretaker boss John Psaras in his five games for the club. He opened his senior goal account when he headed home Ryan Valentine's cross in the recent 5-2 defeat at Woking.

"Aaron fits the essence of the club in that he is ambitious and works hard. He's an honest boy who has been prepared to listen to what we're saying," said Psaras.

Telford will be relegated if they fail to beat Kevin Wilkin's side, but Psaras is confident his players' pride and desire to secure their future will ensure the fall is not too hurtful.

"I don't want to go down tomorrow, I don't want to go down on Monday – but it's going to happen," admitted the Bucks boss.

"The boys are playing for their careers next year and I want to get a win under my tenure."
