Tony Adams at AFC Telford for England game
England and Arsenal legend Tony Adams will be in the dugout at the New Bucks Head when Shropshire hosts international football for the second time in four months.
Adams, 46, was recently invited to help prepare England Under-19s by head coach Noel Blake.
And the Telford-based friendly against Turkey tonight will be his first time on the touchline in this country since he was sacked by Portsmouth more than four years ago.
Since then, Adams, who previously had a short-lived stint as manager at Wycombe Wanderers in 2003-04, has been coaching Azerbaijani club Gabala FC.
But the man who was capped 66 times by his country, between 1987 and 2000, will be a welcome addition to Blake's backroom team, as the young Lions gear up for their European Championship qualifiers.
England edged Finland, with a stoppage-time penalty from captain and Everton midfielder John Lundstram at Telford back in November.
And club secretary Sharon Bowyer, who is anticipating a 3,000 gate, said: "The FA were impressed with our facilities four months ago and said they would definitely be coming back."
While Lundstram is a doubt this time with an ankle injury sustained during his loan spell at Doncaster, there will be some familiar faces.
West Ham defender Danny Potts, who featured prominently in the Finland clash, is aiming to revive his international career after having to withdraw from two recent squads.
Most recently, he was hospitalised with concussion following a clash of heads with Arsenal's Bacary Sagna while on Hammers duty.
Potts, the son of West Ham stalwart defender Steve, said: "It's been a frustrating time as I have missed two games, but I'm pleased to be called up for this one.
"I played against Finland at Telford and we came away with the win that night. We dominated the chances and possession and, even though they had good spells in the game, we scored the late penalty."
Kick off tonight is at 7.30pm and tickets can be bought at £3 adults, £1 concessions, from the club offices at the AFC Telford Learning Centre.
Meanwhile, Telford-based Wolves youngster Ben O'Hanlon is set for England Under-17s duty against Portugal at Walsall's Banks's Stadium on Saturday.
