AFC Telford will be without top scorer Steve Jones for three matches following his red card against Tamworth at the weekend.

The FA today confirmed Jones will face a three-game ban for serious foul play following his dismissal at the Lamb Ground on Saturday.

The 36-year-old's tackle on Lambs' defender Greg Taylor earned him a red card three minutes before half-time.

Winger Luke Hubbins will also miss this weekend's home game against Kidderminster after picking up his fifth booking of the season.

Bucks manager Andy Sinton has seen seven red cards shown to his players in just 20 games this season so far.

"It doesn't help," said Sinton. "It has been a little bit the story of our season.

"I am dumbfounded by why it keeps happening because we sit down with the lads and we say 'be patient in your defending, be disciplined in your defending.'"

Bucks chairman Lee Carter has confirmed today that the club will not challenge the suspension handed out to Jones.

But Sinton was full of praise for the way the remaining 10 men defended for the rest of the game to earn a hard-fought point.

He reserved particular praise for keeper Ryan Young, who was the Bucks' stand-out player, and centre-back Dan Preston, who impressed in his first league start since returning from a four-match ban.

Meanwhile, striker Jake Reid has been sent out on loan to Redditch United to help him build up his fitness and marked his debut in style on Saturday by netting the winning goal against Kettering at the weekend.

AFC Telford have confirmed that just under 2,500 tickets have been snapped up for tomorrow's England U19 international against Finland at the New Bucks Head.

Seating tickets for the game have been sold out for several days but standing tickets in the David Hutchison stand remain available. Ticket prices are £3 for adults, £1 concessions and children.
