Tommy Wright drew a superb save from Ryan Young midway through the first half as the hosts started the brighter.

Tom Marshall also came within inches of an opener for The Lambs just before the break when he beat Young to Lee Hendrie's dangerous free-kick.

But the major talking point in a poor first 45 minutes had come a minute earlier when Bucks' top-scorer Jones was shown a straight red card for a two-footed tackle on Greg Taylor.

Cunnington should have opened the scoring for Tamworth after 63 minutes but was denied brilliantly by Young.

Marcus Kelly also missed a great chance to seal the win with 20 minutes left after beating Jordan Rose to a long-ball into the box.

But Dan Preston went equally close at the other end from Luke Hubbins' right wing cross four minutes from time.
