AFC Telford defender Jordan Rose aims to win a contract
New AFC Telford defender Jordan Rose has revealed his aim to win a contract at the New Bucks Head.
The centre-back impressed on his debut for the Bucks on Saturday having joined the club the previous day on non-contract terms.
Rose went straight into the starting line-up because of injuries to fellow centre-backs Chris Blackburn and Michael Briscoe, forming a solid partnership with Dan Preston in the 3-0 home win over Braintree Town.
Asked if he was aiming to earn contract terms at the club, he said: "Absolutely.
"I think any player would say they would rather be on a contract than a non-contract.
"I'm happy here, happy to play and I hope the management are happy as well."
He added that the current deal created extra pressure on him to maintain his form but he is relishing the opportunity to prove himself.
"With the deal being non-contract either party can walk away at any time so for me it's the added pressure to maintain my football and do well," he said.
"But I live for pressure so I enjoy it and it makes me a better player."
