AFC Telford have added defender Jordan Rose to their ranks but they could be without striker Chris Sharp for more than three weeks due to a hernia.
The Bucks have signed the former Stockport centre-back to provide cover due to a possible injury crisis.
With summer signing Michael Briscoe still two weeks away from fitness after a broken nose and back injury sustained during pre-season training, and new injury doubts regarding one of club's regular centre backs, manager Andy Sinton has signed Rose as a precaution.
"He gives us another defender." said the Bucks chief.
"We have signed him on non-contract terms with a view to possibly extending that to something permanent."
The 22-year old former Stockport man featured in the second half of Telford's pre-season game against Birmingham City and will take the squad number 22.
Sinton is waiting on further information about Sharp's injury but is preparing to be without him for at least two to three weeks.
The former TNS forward has not played since the friendly against Chesterfield last month and had a scan last week.
Sinton said: "We are waiting for a full report but we expect to be without him for two-three weeks minimum."
The Bucks have significant cover with new recruits Jake Reid and Kieron St Aimie joining Steve Jones to lead the line in the first two Blue Square Bet Premier League games of the season.
Fellow new recruits James Spray and Joe Yoffe are-178 both yet to start for Telford but they remain as further options up front.
