Boss?Andy Sinton is hopeful of having at least two of his three injured AFC Telford players back for Saturday's home friendly with Chesterfield.

Chris Blackburn (calf strain), Richard Davies (ankle) and Michael Briscoe (broken nose) all missed last night's goalless draw with Walsall at the New Bucks Head.

But Sinton is optimistic his selection options will be boosted by the weekend.

"Hopefully Briscoe will be available (to make his Bucks debut), Blackburn may be in contention, Davies will certainly be in contention," he said.

"I will be disappointed if two of those three aren't available to play at least half a game. But with injuries you are in the lap of the gods sometimes. I won't rush them."

The former Wolves and Tottenham midfielder was pleased with his side's efforts against the Saddlers last night.

"You hear lots of things in pre-season that results don't matter (but) results do matter," added Sinton.

"You are not playing for points but it's nice to be able to play against Walsall and not look out of your depth, it's nice to go to TNS and beat them because results are what give you confidence."
