Striker Jake Reid today joined AFC Telford United as Andy Sinton completed his third signing of the summer.
Reid, who began his career with spells at Yeovil and Weymouth and has Blue Square Bet Premier experience with Bath, Salisbury and most recently Newport County, has agreed a one-year contract at the New Bucks Head.
The 25-year-old joins defensive duo Michael Briscoe and Luke Hubbins in committing his future to the club and chairman Lee Carter is excited about the latest arrival.
"Jake didn't agree terms with Newport County and has come to us," said Carter.
"He's six foot four and has been training with us. You can see he has a real hunger and desire and is in the mould of the player we have tried to recruit."
Meanwhile, Telford will make only their second ever appearance on live television. Their trip to Cambridge on Saturday, September 15, has been selected for coverage by Premier Sports (5.15pm).
The Bucks defeated Forest Green Rovers in their only previous live television appearance in the final of the Setanta Shield 2009.
"I'm not sure if there is any financial reward," said Carter.
"If there is it will be minimal but it's great exposure."
