AFC Telford today revealed a 13 per cent rise in the cost of Early Bird season tickets for next season.

Prices start at £266 for adults, £209 for concessions and £114 for a young persons ticket. The club have also frozen under-14 season tickets at £1 per game for the ninth year in succession.

Last season's Early Bird prices were £234 for adults, £180 for concessions and £90 for a young persons ticket. The club will announce non Early Bird season ticket prices on May 28, along with matchday admission prices for the 2012-13 campaign.

Chairman Lee Carter is adamant the increase has been kept to a minimum and that the prices are among the cheapest in the Blue Square Premier League.

He said: "It's all about trying to strike a balance between offering the fans fairness and value for money with generating the profit we need to if we are going to evolve as a club.

"We believe that those objectives have been met with this year's offer and would like to thank supporters for backing the club last season.

"We very much encourage supporters to continue backing us next season.

"Our commitment to offering excellent value for money to families attending games remains and growing the supporters of the future remains intact.

"You can see that by the way we've structured our prices."

The Bucks supremo is hoping to see more young faces than ever attending the New Bucks Head next season.

Carter added: "I always say that our philosophy is about putting bums on seats, and the key people we need to target are the youngsters who might enjoy coming to watch the football on a Saturday.

"Of course, we would welcome anyone that wants to come and see the club play, and we value all of our loyal supporters who have stuck by us through all the dark times.

"But we also have to be aware that youngsters these days have so many different things competing for their attention and we have to make sure than we engage them in some way."

Existing season ticket holders will receive an Early Bird application pack in the next few days.
